Organ, Brass, Percussion and the Choir from the Department of Music at the University of North Florida

Join us for a celebration of music as students from UNF’s Department of Music perform with James Holyer, Director of Music at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, on the Pipe Organ in the magnificent Jacoby Symphony Hall at the Times Union Center.

James Holyer has been the Director of Music at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church here in Jacksonville since the fall of 2008. He has served at churches in Dallas, Baltimore, and, most recently, Dalton, Georgia. He received his bachelor’s degree in music and English from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, where he studied with Robert Delcamp, and his Masters in Sacred Music degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he studied with Larry Palmer and George Baker. He and his wife, Sarah, have two young children, Jacob and Louisa.
